It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Khielea Bodkin, also known affectionately as Bodkin, who left us unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the age of 35. Her sudden departure from this life at LHSC – Victoria Hospital in London has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her. Khielea was a vibrant, loving, and spirited woman whose infectious laugh and generous heart touched everyone she met.

Khielea was a proud mother to her beloved boys, Logan and Lex Bodkin. Her children were her greatest joy, and her devotion to them was evident in everything she did. She was a dedicated and loving parent, always striving to provide a nurturing and joyful environment for her sons. Her love for her children was unwavering, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Born in Romania, Khielea was the cherished daughter of Tom and Sherry (Froats) Bodkin. She held her roots close to her heart and was proud of her heritage. She was a devoted sister and sister-in-law to Mikaela and Luke Vandenberk and a much-loved aunt to River and Storm. Her family was her foundation, and she treasured the bonds they shared. Her warm, caring nature extended to her extended family and many friends, who knew her as someone who would do anything to make others smile.

Khielea was a woman of many passions and talents. She loved music, travel, and all things Halloween, embracing life with a zest that was contagious. She was artistic and creative, especially in her professional life. As a salon owner and a highly sought-after stylist, she took pride in her craft, often competing in hair color competitions, showcasing her innovative and artistic flair. Her expertise as a professional up-do artist earned her a reputation for excellence, and her clients knew her as someone who could create stunning looks for any occasion.

Behind her big, beautiful smile, Khielea faced her struggles with honesty and courage. She sometimes grappled with self-doubt and challenges, but her strength and determination always shone through. She was a woman of strong will, humor, and resilience, and her ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her was one of her most remarkable qualities. Her kindness and compassion touched many lives, and she was loved by many for her genuine spirit and generous heart.

Khielea’s life was lived with passion and purpose. She worked tirelessly, balancing her professional pursuits with her personal life. She was known for her dedication to her craft and her desire to brighten the lives of her clients and friends alike. Her love of travel and her artistic talents reflected her adventurous spirit and her desire to experience all that life had to offer.

A special thank you is extended to the doctors, nurses, and the entire team at LHSC – Victoria Hospital CCTC for their compassionate care and support during her time there. Their kindness and professionalism provided comfort to Khielea and her loved ones during this difficult time.

A celebration of Khielea’s life will be held at the Lucan Community Centre, located at 263 Main Street, Lucan, in the multi-purpose hall, on Sunday, October 26th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Words of remembrance will be shared at 2:00 PM, allowing friends and family to honor her memory and reflect on the beautiful person she was. Cremation has already taken place, and this gathering will serve as a heartfelt tribute to her life and legacy.

Khielea’s vibrant personality, her big laugh, her artistic spirit, and her unwavering love for her children will be remembered forever. She brought joy to so many and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. May her soul find peace, and may we find comfort in the love and memories she leaves behind.
